From the window to the wall

Today’s post does not really count as crossing something off the list, however it is a step. I have a lot of pictures! I go to weddings, parties, or long walks and come home with hundreds of photos. This past summer two of my bestest friends got married which meant that I was extra excited to take pictures. One of my 30 before 30 is to do something with all the pictures I take. Well I did something with a few of them, but it does not count because it’s not for me.  B feels like I have to do something with the pictures that I can appreciate for it to count.

The window all taped up and ready to be painted
Earlier this summer B and I went on a trip to Maine and went into an antique shop. I saw this really cool old window frame that needed a paint job and some cleaning. I also remember seeing on Pinterest taking old window frames and using them as pictures frame. So I did just that. I got a 6 panel on window frame.

After a few coats of primer, some white paint and lots of Windex it was ready to become art. I decided it would be a gift for my friend Tam. I took some of the pictures I took at Tam’s wedding and placed them in the window. For now I just taped them because I have other pictures to show her incase she wants it to go horizontally or if she doesn’t like the pictures I selected. I want her to love t since it will hang on her wall.

It looks great! Now I need to find more of these old windows so I can make for friends and maybe a few for me!
